Blackthorn's Prison / Deciet

-What happened to my Backpack?
Some people have trouble seeing the in-game movies. When you meet up with Samhayne, after Ambrosia. Blackthorne captures you and takes you to his prison. In the struggle, you dropped your backpack. You will get it later in the game when you meet Raven in Moonglow.

-Transparent Box

"I'm in the lava area with an empty crystal pedestal, globe-shooting statue, value on an island below a sun icon, and teleporter to a room with 2 mirrors, and a pedestal that gives arrows. Help!"

You don't need to aim the statue. Where the table is... with all the buttons. You need to adjust the semi-transparent floating box with the switch face. Align it up so the statue can hit it (trial and error here).

I was stuck: my target was positioned correctly, but it wouldn't acknowledge the hit! Out of frustration I started firing off a bunch of energy bolts from that statue in rapid fire. Somehow, the target finally got hit!

-Getting out of Jail
When you appear in jail, face the wall to your left (assuming you were looking at the door). In about 10 seconds the wall will transform revealing a secret door. Step back and click on it. (WARNING: Stay clear from that door, don't get too close to it. I've found myself stuck there once).

Follow the tunnel to a room with a spider statue... Touch it.. (you are now phased) Run back to your cell and walk through the door to your cell, out into the hallway.

Unlock your door by hitting the red button beside it on the outside. Unlock the cell door across from your room.

Head back to the spider (Watch that door). Click on the spider (re-phased). Head out to the room across from yours and grab the 2 healing potions.... you will need it. Go to the table in the hallway and grab the key there. Grab the bag on top of the barrels. Hit the barrels with your fist and you will find 2 peices of chain armor if you don't already have them by now.

Unlock the wooden door. Go back to the spider and re-phase yourself. Run back through the wooden door, through the steel door, turn around, hit the switch and open that one. Go back to the spider and un-phase. Return the the last door you opened with the rocky wall. A secret door appears on the left.

-The Globes
Globe #1 - Go through a teleporter in a little nook with a crate and a crystal ball on a block. You enter a room with two mimics. Stand at the far end of the room behind the two archer states and a moving target will appear. Shoot the target.

Globe #2 - Coming out of the globe 1 teleporter, go right, and use the headstone there to lower the lava. It reveals a chest. Open it.

Globe #3 - Take the floating platform over to the teleporter that takes you too the room where you got the bow and arrows. Don't go through the teleporter, but look down and you'll see a patch of land with another teleporter on it. Go through it. You'll be in a square room with a switch in the middle. Hitting the switch starts a timer and targets appear on the walls. Shoot all the targets to reveal the globe.

Globe #4 - After getting globe 3, head back and keep left, placing your globe along the way. Go around the corner and you'll reach land underneath the exit. There's a teleporter to the right. Through it is another timed archery test. Don't forget to grab the warhammer and full heal scroll before leaving.

-Lava Room Notes

"In the Jail puzzle room with the lava and the globe shooting statue where you move the block, there is an intermediate step that you didn't mention. After retrieving the bow and arrows, you have to shoot a face-button to trigger the short bridge. On the same platform is a wheel that lowers the lava. From there, any grave marker that sticks up can be used to lower the lava. So the order or doing the 4-spheres doesn't seem to really matter. Oh, and there's a small room before the 1st lava puzzle room (where you aim the statue) with three pedestals with different colored buttons - red = activate the force bridge in lava room, yellow = heal potion, green = create skeleton."

-Redbone

-Platforms and Switches Room. 1st one!
The room with the blue energy field forming the walkway over the lava can get buggy. I myself had problems with that room crashing and a platform seemed to be stuck, but I found a way out of it.

Take the blue walkway to the right next to the tapestry. Hit the blue button on the left. A bridge will appear over the lava to your left. Walk the bridge to another gold platform. Ride the platform towords the block with a dozen or so blue and red buttons on the wall. The statue will shoot fire balls at you... just ride him out. When you get to the stone block, touch all the buttons as fast as you can to avoid taking more fireballs in the ass. Another walkway will appear. Jump on the walkway and hit the green button on the wall there. Another moving platform will appear. Hop on it....as soon as you start moving. Click on the green button on the side of the center rectangle as you glide by it. The moving platform will change direction and drop you there.

Grab the healing (yellow) potion there. On the other side of the center rectangle... there is another switch on the floor. Hit it! Another platform will take you to the stone block by the tapestry. At the tapestry, hit the purple button on the right. A platform will appear. It will take you to the other side with a statue. There are 5 buttons behind the statue on the wall. The middle on (red) shoots a energy ball from the statue. You have to use the other 4 buttons to aim the statue around. The buttons on the right moves the statue counter-clockwise, the two on the lft moves it clockwise.

Turn the statue counter-clockwise to it's left and aim it directly at the yellow face switch on the side of the walkway.

After that switch is triggered, the blue forcefield above the teleporter disappears.

Make a long jump across the lava towards the stone block where all the blue and red switches were on the wall. Then climb the stone walkway next to it. Hit the green switch on the wall again. Hop on the moving platform again. As it slides by the center area... click on the green switch on the side.....Teleporter...

-Platforms and Switches Room. 2nd one! (Lava Cavern)

"In the second room (the one where you can lower the lava), you don't need to necessarily go and get all the globes to build the bridge to the pentagram.

There's a globe stand nearest to the pentagram platform. Get one globe, insert it, and climb atop the stand. A carefully placed cursor will allow you to jump directly to the pentagram platform, forgoing the tedious search for he balance of the globes.

Note...you DO need the hammer, however, to kill the dog. It's the only decent weapon available in the dungeon."
-Menalque

When you enter this area, since you have no compass, lets call this direction South (you can see the table ahead on the right and the 3 statues on the left).

Take the path on the right to the table. If you click on the globe it will show you the statue on the other side. The table has four buttons. It controls the semi-transparent block with the face switch on it. You need to use the buttons to position the block so that the larger statue can hit it with an energy ball. The block will have to be all the way up (as far as it can go) and closer to you (closer than you think). But, not all the way. Work your way over to the 3 statues (watch out for the fireballs). Click on the larger statue. Watch it shoot the fireball. If it doesn't hit it's target... go back and re-adjust the block near the table.

...continued later in this same room.
The room with the two chests and the 2 archer statues.
Don't touch the chests! Stand on the carpet where statues are, turn around and shoot the moving face target. You get the Blue Orb.
Place The Blue Orb on the holder near the 3 statues in the lava. There is a blue stone near there, Click it! The lava will lower (it's on a timer) and haul ass North down the cavern.

There's a teleporter there...here you will have to shoot the faces (timed) to get the Yellow Orb. Grab the Warhammer here.

There is a blue stone when you appear....and head back South. Place the yellow stone on the hovering walkway there. Head back to the 3 statues. There's another blue stone behind them in the cavern at the South. Click on it and a chest will be revealed when the lava lowers. The Red Orb is here. Head back to where you got the yellow orb (North). Place the Red Orb there on the Orb holder..... Another walkway appears above you.

Lower the lava again by clicking on the nearby blue stone. Head down the West cavern... click on the blue stone and continue west again. There is a chest here with Chain gauntlets.Click the blue stone here to lower lava again... Head to the teleport there.. You appear in a room with a chest, a pedestal with a green button, and a block. Click on green button, Shoot all the targets as fast as you can with bow. Get the green globe. Return to teleporter.

Work you way back East and place the Green Orb. The walkway is completed where the Red Orb is at... Go to the teleporter. You should be here the glyph tower is.

You will fight a Dog (gypsy). Use the hammer on him. Next you will fight the sorceress Mariah (easy). Ride the floating platform and get the Glyph of Honesty.

When you are finishing up the dungeon Deciet, don't kill the sorceress. Instead, take out her mirror images and run to the platform to get the glyph. That way when you get to Moonglow, you can speak to Mariah in her basement and she will give you the Restoration Ritual.

-Hadran Dragon

...when you get to the wyrmguard, the one that dosen't have a shield is Mariah. If you kill the two with shields the other will disappear, and when you reach moonglow, Batista will simply tell you that Mariah is ill.

-Marla Lefevre

Return to the floating platform... It will take you to another teleporter... You will appear back at Blackthorn's Prison. The red button on wall will remove the rock wall that leads back to the cell. Head out the opposite way. Welcome to Moonglow!
