There are two new reviews of Final Fantasy X for PS2 out today. The first one at GamesFirst has a rating of 4/5 stars, while the one at AVault gives a perfect 5/5 score and comes to this conclusion:

It's almost becoming habit to laud praise upon the Final Fantasy series, but each time another game releases, players brace themselves for a disappointment and instead find themselves wonderingly exploring another fully realized world. Complete with fully fleshed out characters and newly designed tactical combat, Final Fantasy X stands as the most extravagant of this series, yet still remains true to its roots as a story driven RPG. Packing hours of dialogue into a single DVD, this chapter of the saga introduces long-awaited speech to the game while ratcheting the graphical quality so as to redefine the term "next-generation" for consoles. At its core, Final Fantasy X is just another chapter of the story we've all grown to love, but like a rare piece of literature, this story just gets better and better with each page you turn.
