RPG Vault has interviewed Producer Ariel Gauthier and Lead Designer Ethan Petty from Strategy First about the Disciples 2 expansion, Rise of the Elves:
Jonric: What were your primary goals in designing the race, and also in dividing it into two factions?

Ethan Petty: The primary goal in designing the Elves was to tie the saga to the tech tree. They are called the Elven Alliance for a good reason. Within the tech trees, you will see that often one branch represents the wild elves (bandits and highwaymen) and the other represents the more Empire-influenced noble Elves with massive armor and decoration.
