Lionheart is a single player game, but it has some other options in how the game is played and completed. Certain parts of the game will allow NPCs to join the main character and adventure together for parts of the game. Magical allies also can be summoned during battle to assist the player in defeating the minions of darkness. A multiplayer option, allowing up to four characters to adventure together and pursue the main storyline, is also available.
