The seventeenth Morrowind Q&A with eight members from the development team of this upcoming RPG is online at RPGVault today. Their question: Relatively low-level spells or magical items can sometimes be much more useful than they first seem. What is your favorite in Morrowind, and why? - and this is the answer from GT Noonan:
I really find the Shield sort of spells most useful. I typically use a birthsign that lends me the use of the spell and it comes in handy for when you confront those guys with a weapon that makes yours look like a butter knife. The spell takes quite a chunk off of the damage from an opponent's weapon and allows me to hopefully whack him down before he takes me out.
