Computer Games Romania have reviewed Darkened Skye. The final score is 79% and without further ado, here's a snip:
This is why Skye has to go through five realms (Lynora, Ogmire, Sky City, Maze City and Gargoyle Realms), each divided in many levels and each having its own distinct and sometimes impressive look. The most amazing is Sky City which, due to the necessary time to cross it and due to the floating platforms and color mixtures, reminded me of Aurin Quest. There is the same bright graphics, fitted for this kind of fantasy games but which may let you think this is a game for kids. What disturbed me wasn't that visually the game looks outdated (it was launched in US in January 2002) or that the models are made out of a low number of polygons but the bugs, not many of them but enough to spoil the pleasure of playing it. For example, some camera positions will show you areas behind the textures and Skye can fall sometimes through the textures in the void. If you can pass over these things you will discover that Darkened Skye has something that very few games have and I’m talking about style and atmosphere, managing from this point of view to compete with Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal.
