massivemultiplayer.org has posted an interview iwth VR1's Travis McGeathy, the Community Manager about the almost cancelled and now revived MMORPG Lost Continents - and thus the interview starts like this:
Let's get to the gritty questions first: You guys have been without any potential funding for 5 months, and yet you still worked on the project (in secret, even). What's driven you to keep on task? How have you been living? How do you fit all of those cots into Tim's basement? Is Ramen for breakfast, lunch and dinner a good diet?

Well, VR1 is a rather large game company (offices in Boulder, Colorado; Toronto, Canada; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tokyo, Japan; and Buffalo, New York) backed by an even larger parent company, Pacific Century CyberWorks Japan. Funding the prototype development during the suspension was never a problem. VR1 always has many titles in production at any one time, so the minor amount of development we’ve done recently for LC is just a drop in the bucket.

As to what kept us going, it’s simply love of the game. Everyone working on the project is there because they believe in the game and know it will be a success. Their enthusiasm and dedication is really what convinced the company to fund the continued development.
