2. Waypoints...
Next we'll insert a waynet, a network of waypoints along which
NPCs can travel. Hit the foot symbol in the horizontal toolbar,
and choose Waypoints in the Object Pages which appear. Right click
somewhere suitable, and choose Insert Specials from the right click
menu. You'll have to specify a name for your waypoint. Use WP_01,
and we'll use this name to identify it later. As with any selected
object, you can hit the M key to allow you to move the waypoint
with the cursors and A&Y.
Create another waypoint some distance away, and call it WP_02.
And now we join them together. This is a bit of a pain at first.
Make sure the rightmost two buttons on the horizontal toolbar are
pressed in. Click on the red arrow representing the first waypoint.
This is fiddly, but persevere. Try getting close. Then move to the
second waypoint, hold down Shift and click on this one. It should
flash. Then, press the button on the vertical toolbar which is fourth
from the bottom (two blue dots joined by a red line). You should
see a red line representing this simple waynet.
And that's it...
