Gamespy has reviewed Final Fantasy X-2 with mixed results. The score is 3/5 stars and here's a snip:
But this side-quest driven game isn't dissatisfying merely because of its fail to drive the narrative forward. Most of the side-quests take place in environments lifted straight from Final Fantasy X with no alteration, meaning that you've most likely been to all these places before and seen what they have to offer. What's almost worse is when you do get to an all-new locale. The majority of environments created specifically for FFX-2 are of substantially lower quality than the originals -- glaringly so, in fact.
