At last news from a VERY nice looking RPG: gGG2G has published an interview with Holger Breitbach from Ikarion on their upcoming RPG Armalion. I suggest you check out our "at a glance" page for more info on this game, and head over to read the interview, of course, from which this snippit is taken:

What kind of skills/spells can we see?

DSA has a pretty good magic system, so we had the choice between many nice spells. We decided to include the most useful spells (fireball, invisibility, freeze-time just to name a few) and keep the overall number of spells reasonable. If there´s one thing we´ve learned from other RPGs, then that even if you have a ridiculously high number of spells, you´ll mostly end up using 5-10 of them in the game.

Is the magic system unique or will it be like the ones we have seen in some of the current titles?

Since the magic system is a conversion of the DSA system, it´s pretty unique.

How is experience gain set up?

You can gain XP by defeating enemies (which doesn´t automatically mean "kill them"), solving riddles and quests. This part is pretty traditional.

DSA = Das schwarze Auge, a RPG system quite popular in Germany :-)
