An interview popped up over on the Archean fansite Digital Tirade. They sat down with Niklas Weidel and had some tea with him. While sipping their cups they still managed to get some Q&A going.
Devilturnip: In the past, similar games have had trouble conveying the back-story for the world. Has the Arcane Development team come up with any methods to ensure that players know the history, and thus feel more like they are part of the world? As the game progresses, how will the history of the world change to reflect actions that PCs have taken?

Niklas: Believe me, the history of Archaean will be so extremely evident, in-the-face and quite frankly very important in order to live in the world, that players will have no trouble whatsoever to familiarize themselves with the world. Generally, games provide an "excuse" for how the world looks today, and then set the player down in the world. Archaean provides a logical, evolving world history that doesn't stop when the players enter. That is all part of the history, and it will continue to evolve as time passes (and according to what the players do).

The history is still somewhat secret (there are legends, but the actual -truth- of those might not reflect the real thing...), since it holds so many keys to amazing stories and adventures in the world. I can promise, though, that Archaean's world history, legends and general story is quite unique and one of a kind. It's not your standard-cutter fantasy world.
