To this day, I believe Might&Magic 3 to be the best Might and Magic game produced. This game is just pure fun. Now, I have played all the series up to 8 (I haven't got around to buying 9 at this point in time) and still think none of the games coming after it quite beat the Might&Magic experience presented in this game. The graphics at the time were top notch, unlike the following 5 games. With Might&Magic 3 came watching your characters develop from weasly to strong, stupid to genius-level. The dungeons were well crafted, the equipment was great - who can forget finding their first obsidian item? There were puzzles, there was exploration, but overall there was enjoyment. This one is up there with Ultima 7 and Planescape: Torment for my all time top RPGs. |

Solid role-playing, but I seriously believe they should have stuck to the style of the first two games in the series. |

IMHO the best of the whole series in playability. The
dated graphics really don't matter much. Very high replay value. |

Maybe the 4th best game in the series, behind 4,5, and 2. I beat the game, but can't really remember all that much about it. I remember 2,4 and 5 vividly, but about all I remember about 3 was drinking some fluids out of barrels, which was the only way to permanently raise your stats. |

Trying to describe how aewsome and innovative this game is, with it's supreme VGA graphic (for the time) and being one of the first RPGs ever to include and auto map feature, is like trying to explain what the fourth dimension looks like to the naked eye without using metaphors. A grand adventure and one of the residing classics. |

My favourite of the series. It had great puzzles, though a bit too many of them... |

This game was just plain fun! It had some of the best graphics at the time, and many of the monsters had humorous animations. Perfect blend of puzzles and combat. I think I enjoyed this one the most. |

M&M3 was -at least- the RPG I had most fun with. Coming from Amiga I was asking myself how such a big and beatyful world fits into 5MB...
It was the breaktrough for the series and part 4+5, that can be united to one game, were only slightly better because they changed not more than graphic and gameplay -details.
A practice which worked perfectly in 1994 was a disaster for Might in Magic in 1997-99. |

The first ever real RPG I played on god knows what system. I recently went back to it again as I found a PC version, even now the graphics look pretty good, amazing how old it is, it looks better than 4 & 5.
I love this game, it is pure RPG entertainment as it should be, a large party, lots of stats, lots of enemies and a choice of ways to fight them. Superb. |
