The heart of the story and your purpose in it is revealed much to soon. I would have preferred for the story itself to play out more gradually, but your main objective is clear pretty early on in the game. Also there are very few side quests, though there are some cool hidden locations in the game if you can find them. Those who enjoy old-school, first-person, party-based CRPG's should not miss out. Forget about Baldur's Gate II, or Icewind Dale or Arcanum. wizardry 8 is the real deal!
