The Matrix Online has risen from humble beginnings. If you look at the screenshots, you can see how the game (and my character) appeared back in July when I first entered the beta, and how it appears now. (Throughout the article, click on the thumbnails you see for their full-sized counterparts). I've left a number of the user interface elements visible so you can see how much that improved over the course of development, too. The result, thusfar, is a game that I believe not only caters to fans of the Matrix franchise, but also stands to challenge the entire MMO genre.
