At LoadedInc, you can find a Dragon Empires E3 report. Here's something about the economy system - something I personally find extremely attractive (I always tried to "live" that way in UO):
An interesting feature is the fact that everything in the game world is manufactured by the players made from resources you will find around the game world or by killing monsters. XPs are also obtained more effectively from PvP comabt, lower level XPs can be gained from killing monsters but the focus is on the PvP aspect of the game. For example payers will be able to assume the roles of traders who move around the world and are at the mercy of the Outlaws. The Outlaws themselves will be hunted by Bounty Hunters and so on. So as you can see there is a well defined character class structure in place. Things get interesting though as players move between Empires. In one Empire a player can assume the role of a trader but in another they can play the part of an Outlaw. There is a lot of scope for dastardly deeds and backstabbing, a feature that could set this game apart. |
