The Dragon Empires Q&A #13 at RPGVault talsk to Pete Tyson again, and here's something from that interview:
Jonric: How about the overall "personality" of the community? As those for various other online titles have grown, some have changed quite a bit and other relatively little. How has your particular one been in this regard? In what ways if any is its character changing or evolving?

Peter Tyson: So far, the community has managed to keep its friendly and pleasant nature. They're a pretty social bunch without much agro and tension. They are also helpful to us developers; when we have questions or want to hear their opinions, they're always quick to provide reasoned and thoughtful responses. They are also quick to volunteer to do work for us and to help out. Thanks in particular should be given to Wodden, Shakron and Bitmap who translated the entire site into French and German, and community members like Necatus who maintains a huge database of everything us developers say, it's a perfect supplement (encyclopedia?!) for our FAQ.

As for evolving, I think the community will stay much as it is until beta, when the numbers of forum posters, fan sites and clans will grow very quickly. It will be a challenge to keep the friendly familiar flavor to the community we have now, but I hope with some effort on my part, we can grow without having too many teething troubles!
