IGN Xbox's Jeremy Dunham has this latest report on a new feature Electronic Arts is incorporating into LotR: The Third Age...
September 24, 2004 - In an announcement made exclusively to IGN this evening, Electronic Arts revealed that its upcoming role-playing game, The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age would support more than just one player when it ships to retailers later this November. Now players can form a fellowship of their own.
To keep the feature in line with the story, and to keep it from being intrusive, EA LA has incorporated an easy to use switch in the options menu that allow players to easily switch back and forth between one and two users. Once activated, player one will gain control of Barethor, Elegost, and Morwen, while Player Two nabs the rights to Idrial, Hadhod, and Ioden.
