Overall, while I was just an observer at E3 (like everyone else), Mass Effect still left a lasting impression on me – and that was just after a thirty minute demonstration. The game showed more polish, and more scope than anything else I saw at E3, and that is single handedly why I picked it as my Best of Show for E3 2006. There were some really great titles at E3 this year, many of which will be must own games when they ship in the coming months. Mass Effect, however, reigns atop my list for the time being. Bioware is currently targeting a winter 2006 release for the game, and I cannot wait to find out more.
