RPGVault has conducted an interview with Lord British about his departure from EA, his break and his plans with Destination Games and their strategic partner, Korea's NC Soft:Jonric: What is the nature of the partnership? Does NCsoft own Destination Games? And to what extent if any will Destination Games be involved with Lineage and with Horizons?Richard Garriott: NCsoft and Destination Games make up one single organization. There are two distinct groups that work at the NC Austin office, currently called Destination Games. One group, which includes me, Jake, Starr and crew, for instance, is focused on Tabula Rasa and the other, eventually probably much larger, is focused on supporting Lineage. Jake, and Starr and I will be assisting the Lineage group as they get operations started in the US but will eventually migrate their full attention to Tabula Rasa. Destination Games has no plans to be involved at any substantial level with the Horizons project. We wish our friends at Artifact Entertainment good luck and we look forward to publishing Horizons in Asia. |
