Gamespot has interviewed Jonathan Chey from Irrational Games about the newly-unveiled Freedom Force vs The Third Reich. Here's a bit from the introduction that summarises the game:
Irrational Games has finally taken the wraps off its upcoming sequel, Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich. In the new game, the Freedom Force team must travel back in time to World War II to battle a new supervillain named Blitzkrieg, who is the defender of the Reich. The heroes will also encounter all-new supervillains, including enemies named Tombstone, Sky King, and Red October, though they'll have access to new hero abilities, like dancing dead, Aztec mercy, and whirlwind tour. The new game includes an enhanced 3D-rendering engine, as well as improved artificial intelligence.
