Thanks to Rayzor from Mythica Realms for sending along word that they have posted the second part of an interview they've had with Matt Wilson, Group Manager of the team responsible for Microsoft's Norse mythology themed MMORPG 'Mythica'.
MythicaRealms.com: What makes the Mythica skill advancement system stand out in your eyes? What else do you think will make it stand out from the crowd?

Matt Wilson: Our first priority was to focus on a strong, class-based system. Not a classless system—we wanted a world where, whatever you choose as a role, everyone else understands what that role is. “This is what I can do, this is what I’m good at.” And that’s why you’re valuable as a party member or ally. We want a lot of clear dependency, so people will say, “Oh there’s a Pyromancer, lets get her into our group!” Inside each of the classes, we also want to provide differentiation. We all know that a Berserker is a highly offensive tank, but whether you go down the “rage route” (not an official name) or the “tattoo route” (also not an official name), you’ll be playing differently. Either way, you’re still in the Berserker class, but you’ll start specializing in skills that complement your personal play style. There will be different skill-progression forks within each character class—we want players to make trade-off decisions, talk about decisions, brainstorm the best possible Berserker, and get into threads about different techniques.
