CDV has just sent in the following press release regarding the release of the background story of Larian Studios' highly anticipated epic fantasy RPG Divine Divinity. If anyone knows how to convert the Palm PDB file into a Win9x/NT/2K/XP compatible file, it would be highly appreciated :) .
Here it is:DIVINE READING
CDV releases free e-book chronicling the background to its forthcoming role-playing title
Whilst Divine Divinity – the hugely anticipated PC CD-ROM role-playing game from CDV Software Entertainment UK – is not due for release until September 2002, those desperate to immerse themselves in its detailed world and rich background story can do so immediately thanks to a new e-book which has just been released worldwide.
The Divine Divinity e-book – available at Eurocool.com (www.eurocool.com) – contains three chapters from a specially commissioned novella which chronicles the origins of the Lord of Chaos. It features the final communication from Zenfar Blutsporn, Chief Archivist of the Black Circle and last living member of the Legion of the Damned, whose reign of terror will dominate the game.
The e-book includes a host of characters prominent within the Divine Divinity World, making it an invaluable resource for those keen to tackle the full quest. Subtle hints and clues are hidden within its virtual pages, offering additional tips to those sharp enough to spot them.
"The feedback we’ve been getting from those that played the demo has been really encouraging, with consumers voting it one of their most anticipated releases of the year in its genre,” says Terry Malham, President, CDV Software Entertainment UK. “The world of Divine Divinity is extremely detailed, and we wanted to offer all players the chance to really immerse themselves in it. Whilst it’s not essential to read the entire 9000-word novella in order to complete the game, those that do will not only be treated to some of the finest fantasy writing around."
Divine Divinity will be published by CDV Software Entertainment UK in September 2002, price £34.99
