Worthplaying has posted its review of Mad Doc's 'Legends of Aranna' stand-alone expansion pack for 'Dungeon Siege'. They have awarded it two different scores. If you already own 'Dungeon Siege' it's 6.8 out of 10 points and if you buy the pack to get both games it's 8.0 out of 10 points.
With a few token enhancements, Legends of Aranna continues in the vein of the original. You now have the ability to quickly redistribute potions; set up control groups for spells so you can quickly change spells on the fly; wear backpacks; and of course, acquire more loot. You can also now tell the game to sell all your items and there is also a World Map that is revealed as you progress through the game. Given the linear nature of the game it also acts like those fund-raising thermometers you see, where it tells you how close to being done you are. There's also a new half-giant race you can play (who in the game is a not-so-hardy adventurer). There's probably one or two minor additions I'm forgetting, but that's what's "new" in this expansion. For $30 that's not a lot, especially compared to other expansions due out this holiday season.
