The newer offering, which became available in North America about a month ago through regional publisher Hip Games, attempts to bring alive a rich, engaging old-school RPG experience by building on the basic principles and technology of its predecessor. Cast as a servant of your avatar from the earlier adventure, you begin in a miserable situation, soul-forged with a Death Knight, a foul creature that detests your good manners as much as you hate his evil nature and stench. Unless the curse joining you is broken, your destiny is to spend eternity together, so you and your unwilling partner set out to uncover the secret that offers the only chance of escape. To date, Beyond Divinity has been received favorably overall, both in Europe and here, which made us even more eager to see Project Leader Swen Vincke's post-release thoughts.
