Thinkfishstick has punched up a review of Blizzard's 'World of Warcraft'.
Three years after the events in Warcraft III and its expansion The frozen Throne, little is left of the treaty between man and Orc. Azeroth is in chaos and many races have joined forces under two factions: The Horde for the undead, the Orcs, Trolls and Tauren, and The Alliance for the Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves and Gnomes. There are 9 classes available, though each race only has a choice out of about four or five. Among them, for instance, is the Warrior, fit for dealing and taking damage in close combat, the Mage, specialised in long range fire and frost magic and the Rogue, who uses stealth and cunning to take out his foes. Other classes include the Warlock, a mage that has turned to the demonic side of magic and the Hunter who deals long range damage with his bow or gun, and can tame beasts as his companion. Furthermore there's the Druid, Paladin, Priest and the shaman, each with their own skills and abilities. The Paladin for instance, deals less damage than a warrior and is more focused on actually taking damage, as he has an array of defensive abilities at his disposal.
