RPGVault has received word, that Runesword 2 has gone gold today! Here's the press release:

    RuneSword II Goes Gold!
    Product to ship September 28th.

    Cary, NC, September 4, 2001

    Shrapnel Games announced today that Crosscut Games' RuneSword II has Gone Gold. The ship date has been set for September 28th.

    Tim Brooks, President of Shrapnel Games, said, "Crosscut Games has put together an RPG with no equals. The strength of this game is in its ties to the pen and paper genre of RPGs. We have had more pre-orders for this game than any other in our two-year history. We expect RuneSword II to be a best seller worldwide."

    Richard Arnesen of Shrapnel Games added, "Dan Schnake and Adam West have added 467MB of tutorial videos to the Gold version. That comes to about 1.5 hours of engrossing explanation. Also, the manual is large, our largest to date, so the support is there for this RPG."

    Also added to RuneSword II is a fourth mini-adventure. Other features include:

    * Two full-length adventures, The Land Beyond and The Hunt
    * Three, correction four, mini adventures.
    * Turn-based, strategic combat system that's fun and fast
    * New combat options that reflect latest RPG trends
    * 35+ skills with multiple levels
    * 13 races
    * Pick a response dialog
    * Diabolic creatures, insidious traps, fantastic magic items, you know the rest
    * Creator construction set and on-line community that adds more adventures
    * New AVI and MP3 support
    * Tome Wizard automatic adventure generator - just answer a few questions

Runesword 2 will not be free, unlike its predecessor and be published via Shrapnel Games. For more info about the title visit our Runesword 2 board, where the developers will answer your questions.
