Sony Online's EverQuest II site has announced that Character Traits Enhancements Coming Soon. There's a fairly detailed post with examples but here's the intro:

Traits

Traits are one of the character advancement paths that help you build a unique indentity in EverQuest II. Every few levels you get to choose any trait, regardless of their race or class.
