It is really OK !!

txiabxyooj has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from txiabxyooj)

i have heard that this game is fun in mp, but from a purely sp point of view it stinks. the chacter classes are borish & the gameplay is even worse. finally, it is short. fortunately i only paid 99 cents for it. but, i suspect that might have been over priced.

Stareye has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Stareye)

Not that bad...

Gorath has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Gorath)

The best singleplayer Gauntlet clone out there. I had a lot of fun with it. This is Diablo II minus the item management with more strategic combat, better graphics, a good story and perfect balancing.

NeoStar9 has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from NeoStar9)

I really had fun with this game. I don't know about the MP since I never tried it.

Jogga has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Jogga)

"txiabxyooj" is retarded, me thinks. He had a pirated version. That is why it screwed up. Deus Ex does the same thing. A 10 to counter txiabxyooj's idiotic review.

Mattias Kreku has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Mattias Kreku)

Nox has good graphics, imaginative monsters, nice equipment and a great interface. But that's all programming. What the game lacks is feeling and length. The first time I played it I made it to the end of game fight (which I lost because I hadn't collected stuff along the way since I never expected to make it that far in my first try). A huge disappointment after all the fuzz.

Kheltys has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Kheltys)

Haha! fun fun fun. I genuinely enjoyed this game to its fullest extent. Your trailer park trash avatar I found especially enlightening. Advancing was fun and always exciting, and although the story line was not entirely serious, I found it really added to the jovial light hearted feel of the game. The ONLY aspect I found degrading was the lack of ability to revisit previously explored stages of the game. After completing the game, I found the re-play value moderately high.

Another 10 to counter txiabxyooj's idiotic review.

Óðinn has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Óðinn)

This is a very good game! But like we say in Iceland: Ísland, bezt í heimi!

Madigan has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Madigan)

I found this game to be very pleasant...it's one of those games no one talks about..more of an action RPG hack and slash in the diablo style...but a much nicer interface and superior graphics...where this game really rocks is in multiplayer mode...get some friends, but this game, and see what im talking about.the singlw play provides replayability with 3 separate storylines for the 3 different characters you can choose. warrior, conjurer or sorcerer...Fun Game.

Nox: (my rating would be a 7.8 if I could fix it so i'll give it an 8 for velocity.) This is a small scaled down version of diablo, that is more mindless fun(to a point), that would be a great combo if some game designer would mix it with Nethack or Slash; very fun but immensely more detailed mindless but mindful games. I agree with what people say about it here, but it has more to offer these days for people who've already played diablo/diablo ii expansions. It's a decent engaging game, though it is becoming slowly dated, like the diablo's, and it's cheap price give's it a new life until something else in this genre can replace it. The story and magic use have only limited value as they are not as well thought out as the game play. However I still give it a 7.8 as it currently stands versus the other game on this list at this date 12/05/03. My top ten (my rating)- Underrated here. 1. Ultima 4 - Quest of the Avatar (10): Simply the best non-linear (yet sends you somewhere) / discover, develop, and explore / capture your wonder gameplay ever!! ..Ultima 5 and 6 couldn't live up to the momentum, but they expanded details and eventually lost the non-linear nature and exploration potential of the originals. 2. Wizard's Crown (9): Awesome gameplay, fun. Dated but still groundbreaking, did no one play this?? some may find overdetailed; Really fleshes out character, magic weapons, monster encounters. 3. Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn (9.5): All the story of baldur's gate, awesome d&d gameplay, & a bonus engaging almost non-linear play. 4. Ultima 5 - Warriors of Destiny(9): Started to lose story depth from Ultima 4, gameplay awesome yet there starts to go non-linearness. (Ultima 6 (8) further games lose character straight down through online ones) 5. Nethack and Slash (expanded Nethack)(9): Immersive free-opensource ASCII(text) quickplay rpg game. Depth is in massive rpg details, simplicity in story. 6. Phantasie 3 - Wrath of Nikademus(7.7): Older game, unique, captures blind map-exploration of paper rpg's and engaging gameplay for the day. 7. Warcraft II (7.5): okay, this is an excellent strategy game not rpg, but the progression and gameplay give a rpg innovation that should inspire some integration in further ones. very fun. 8. Thief - The Dark Project(8.7):Okay, this is a fun 1st person, puzzle/exploration game, but the engaging rpg type gameplay really reached me. Rpg innovation that allows characters to do more, hope we'll see more like this. 9. Dungeon Hack (8.1): random spawning mazes/endless gameplay/tried and true rpg engine. Staple, wish they'ed update. 10. Wizardry 1 - Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord (6.5) /Wizardry 6 - Bane of the Cosmic Forge (5.5): no replay value today, we have better, but these labor's of love had a depth of thought that few reach; rich gameplay/story. special mention: Nox (7.8): a small scaled down ver of diablo, that is more mindless fun(to a point), that would be a great combo if somebody would mix it with Nethack or Slash. Here's an idea for game designers or anyone simply looking for the best game possible. Imagine a single focused evolving expansive generic magic/medieval fantasy open-source MMORPG world platform, where the best conceived (not most popular) thoughts rule. With non-linear exploration and randomly created story elements (and quests) created by some of the best writers today (ex- David Eddings, Terry Brooks, Salvatore, Weis and Hickman), and best creations from players. Fractally created changes to terrain over time with season effects and a few randomly created deep dungeons points along with fixed (best design ones). Focus on balancing functional reality based depth of detail, with fun, engaging gameplay sessions. Balanced solo-based and cooperative gameplay, with player-kill threat properly integrated for fun/challenge on both sides. ..carefully thought out, add on expansions can be smaller alternate worlds, where gameplay changes can be explored and any-themed worlds for writers, creators, and players, but focus remains on creating and re-creating one best integrative world. Making money will be tied to whatever drives the goal of making the best game possible with an alternative currency tied to the real world with the generic player, the best designers, and making the best game in mind. Imagine playing in the most interesting focused alternate earth (like Middle-Earth, Shannara, Midkemia, or your favorite [later we might have these world as add ons]), created collectively and carefully, by the best, intelligent creative people involved and having an evolving group of the best stories emerging. Roleplaying that inspires the imagination, yet captures your involvement, yet maintains it's integrity and does not get diluted down with bad ideas or adolescent behavior. These top games on this list have elements and innovations we want to see again, if you could make it happen. I have an idea how to start a simple seed and I know much of what to do to grow it right for the love of those involved; ..from managing ideas to egos, to programming across multiple platforms with integrative help from dedicated experts to the informed player, to the business of making the project viable. I want to see this happen, and I believe it could, if the right people want to help me plant this seed. I intend to plant the seed and make sure that it doesn't get corrupted, i.e. stays on the right path, because I want to play the best game and insure integrity not dominate or control. Anyone want to help me? Even if you have your plans, wouldn't a cooperative step in this direction put us both a step closer towards this common goal. Even some spare change would help start us towards making that best game. Please write me at andrewstroup@hotmail.com if you have any interest.
