This week's developer blog focuses on the game's animation. Written by Brian Labore, it is an entertaining and informative look.
Another aspect of Titan Quest that, as an animator, I am very excited about is the living world that we have created. Not only do the player characters and monsters have dynamic animations that bring them to life, but the world itself breathes with motion. Flags and banners sway as they hang from buildings, fresh fish dangle from a fishmonger’s shop, and stray dogs beg for food. Little details that seem insignificant come together to draw the player in and make the world more believable. Townsfolk wander the town, boats float gently on the water, entertainers perform in the square, and guards defend their cities. Because of the attention to detail that the designers, artists, and programmers bring to every aspect of the Titan Quest world, it really comes to life.
