Today the subject was Vanguard, a day-long hands-on with the game, guided by the company's marquee members, minus the late Keith Parkinson. Butler, McQuaid, and Business Development Director Zack Karlsson (who started his career as an EQ GM) took us through an extensive tour of Thestra, one of the game's three regions and the one most complete at this stage. It's difficult to describe how large a given MMO landmass is, but I would say it's about on par with the northen section of the continent of Azeroth in World of Warcraft. It's not a small place, and that's just one of three continents in Vanguard.
