Lead Designer Rick Dakan takls about the upcoming superhero MMORPG: Before we delve into the origins and ideas behind City of Heroes, I thought I'd use this week's foray to let everyone know where we stand. Cryptic Studios started development on City of Heroes just over two years ago. We began with a couple rounds of private investment that allowed us to work on the game in peace, and ramp up our team slowly and carefully. Starting a year ago, we began to talk with publishers, taking our time and showing the game to EVERYBODY. As you can imagine, there are some interesting stories from these meetings, and someday I'll probably share them with you.
