This engine presents you with an unequalled opportunity to try out the old Ultima VII games under windows and other later generation OS'es! Great! Try it out, and take a trip down memorylane, wallowing in nostalgia! I love this engine.. ;)

Great engine, only the combat was too easy in beta version i have played. i have read somewhere there is now a difficulty setting for combat, so i can give a full 10.

All of us should say a HUGE THANK YOU to the Exult team: Now you can play Ultima 7 parts 1 & 2, most probably two of the very best RPGs ever made, on modern Windows 32bit machines!

Hey guys, ok, it's fun... but it's only an engine. It can't be compared to actual games, can it ?

Exult made it possible for me to enjoy Ultima 7; it makes ultima 7 one of the rear 'still playable' classic rpg's. P

I think it's the best. Six things are really great: 1. Finally you can play Ultima 7 Part 1 and Ultima 7 Part 2 on Windows. 2. It's really easy to install and it works great without configuring much 3. You don't have to configure the Sound (Ultima 7 Part 2 works better then with MS-DOS 6.22) 4. You can change the size of the screen (you see a bigger area) 5. Ultima 7 Part 1 has the same inventory-system like Ultima 7 Part 2 6. The games don't jerk that much anymore I love it!!! And it's better to me then a new game!!!

there are a ton of differences in the game using exult. not authentic. dl u7xp.exe and install VDMSound if you want to play the game as meant to be. will run perfect under windows using those progs this web page really helpful http://members.iinet.net.au/~rsd/U7inWindows.html

Make both U7s Windows compatible. Last version I used had problems with ranged weaponry of NPCs and weapon sorting but those should have been fixed since then...
