Severe consequences mind you. The game will have a reputation system where, if you are an outcast, a real villain, when you are captured, and one day you will be, unless you are a lucky guy, you can expect to be hanged. Yes, public execution followed by permanent death for your character. There will be aging in the game too, so not only outlaws or horse thieves will visit the morgue, but everyone else too, sooner or later. Hopefully they will make death by aging something that requires many months or even a few real life years to happen!
