Due to some technical problesm, today's Morrowind Q&A at RPGVault has been posted on their front page. They ask the developers about their favorite spell, and here are two answers:

Water Walking is on heavy rotation for me right now. There's a certain pleasure involved in hitting someone with a mace and then taking off running across the ocean. They'll follow you, and try to attack your feet. Great fun. The really great spells are the ones you make yourself, though. One of my favorites I've made is an "Invisibility Other" spell. Basically, I use it to run around towns and make the population see-through. Is it useful? No, but it amuses me, much like shiny things do. I also highly recommend creating a large, area-effect damage/demoralize spell. It goes off, damages a bunch of people, and then demoralizes them so they flee from you instead of fighting. It's fun to mess with NPCs.

First, I would choose a good Open spell. This allows me to unlock most doors and chests that my usually low Security skill can’t touch. That way I can try to get some good cheese and not suffer since I don’t stand a chance at lockpicking. SUPER handy spell for those big tank fighters who are less inclined in thieving skills.

The next MUST is Summon Storm Atronach. One, this guy just looks cool! And to have him on my side just gets me fluffy all over. And WOW is this cat tough! A few swipes with his fists and some of his magic and ker-splat, bad guy go night night. I like to, just sometimes, sit around an abandoned campfire and tell stories to my summoned storm atronach. I don’t know if he really understands me, but I don’t care. It makes me feel better.
