Lepidus: It has been stated that the max character level is 100. It took quite a time investment to get to level 50 in EQ, will it take even longer to get to 100 in EQ2?

Steve "Moorgard" Danuser: We just recently announced that we have switched to a level cap of 50 when we ship. This was done to help eliminate confusion as to how player power translated between our game and the original EverQuest release.

In terms of time investment, we have planned for a similar timeframe for players to reach the level cap, but we fully expect to be surprised by how quickly people achieve their goals. Fortunately we have the benefit of foresight so we can plan content in advance. There will be plenty of challenges awaiting players for a long time to come.
