Quadract has interviewed Codemasters' Community Liaison Manager, Peter "Calistas" Tyson, about his company's upcoming fantasy MMORPG 'Dragon Empires'. Could you please explain the Empires and how they are implemented in the game?
The five empires aren't political bodies. That is, you're not an enemy of one empire, friend of another sort of thing. Instead the empires mark out borders where when you cross your PvP role may change. In one empire you may be a civilian, in another an outlaw, in a third a bounty hunter. The roles can change easy enough but the empires give players a way of choosing the length of their involvement in PvP as well as the location.
Each empire has quite a different look and feel and it will be fun for players to explore all of the empires and see the sights they have to offer. |
