Gamershell has put up a review of Final Fantasy X here rating it a healthy 8/10.

Final Fantasy X consists of a huge lot of new ideas, voice acting, 3D enviroment, a highly innovative experiencing system called „Sphere Grid“, yet it faces the same problems as earlier parts:

The plot unfolds at a very slow pace, boring and overemotional scenes, obvious plot twists destroy the overall impression one might have after finishing the game.

Although the inhabitants of Spira act according to plan, the lack of individuality and natural gestures among the crowd sadly gives away very much of atmosphere.

From the atmospheric point of view FF X is probably the weakest part of the series, however when it comes to the scenario selection and the overall presentation it’s probably the best.

Still, among the rarely scattered RPGs on the market Final Fantasy X provides good, yet not best, state of the art entertainment.
