Episode 8 of The Spellborn Scrolls, "Choices" is available at the Chronicles of Spellborn site.
The cool shade of the alley is a relief to your tired body. You lean against the wall of a house, panting for breath. Slowly your heartrate lessens, going from a thundering series of booms to a more sedate thud. You listen above the still too-loud beating of your heart but hear no further sounds of your pursuers. You seem to have lost them in the confusion generated by your gadgets. Not trusting to your tools of the trade alone, you move quietly down the alley a bit and crouch in a doorway.

You had a "simple" job to do this evening, but it has turned out to be anything but. Yesterday your contact in Barnstormer's Inn had been particularly pleased with this little "job" and had spent the better part of your late night conversation fantasizing about the reward you would recieve. No doubt he had been thinking mainly of his commission. You'd gotten the details of the assignment out of him eventually, though he was very nonchalant about the whole thing. It was just a matter of getting a few pieces of paper off an old man. The man always walked from his house just up the road from the docks down to watch the Shardships. Afterwards, he would head to watch those who passed by the statues for a short time. His walk done, the man would seek out the comfort of a tavern and immerse himself in a game for hours. Plenty of time for you to search his posessions, no up-close fuss, and very little trouble for so much money.
