RPG Vault's Jonric talks to three Lockpick developers about the strategy/MMOG 'Dreamlords':
Jonric: What kind of online world is Dreamlords, and how would you describe its basic premise? What's it about, and what types of gameplay can players expect?

Jon Selin: The game takes place in a world where the supreme deity is called The Dreamer. While the world is a figment of his imagination and everything takes place in his mind, he is not in absolute control. The world changes as the inhabitants influence him and the things that The Dreamer focuses on more are infused with power as they become increasingly "real".

The players take the role of a Dreamlord, a spirit ruler of a piece of land called a Patria. The Patria is a fragment of a world that got shattered in some cataclysmic events prior to the game; now, it floats around in the void that it left behind. When two of these Patrias crash into each other, the reigning Dreamlords wage war against one another in order to attain the attention of The Dreamer. The player has the task of developing and overseeing the land, but also of bringing its armies to battle and developing his character's abilities.

The game covers a large variety of common MMO concepts like quests and crafting; however, the complete package is something that is completely unique and has no equivalent in the world today. It is a combination of features from many different genres that we feel fit very well together; for example, RPG-style character development and quests, RTS battles, etc. One of the first premises for the game was that it should be an MMORTS game with a strong sense of progression, but it has grown into so much more.
