Redemption starts exactly where Ultima 8 ends. The Avatar is in Britannia again, but the land is ruled by the Guardian. The Guardians minions are after him and Lord British is imprisoned. It's the beginning of a long journey which leads to two different endings, depending on how you decide to play the game.

The main story will lead you through the game like, in classic Ultimas, but it is non linear at the same time. You have the choice how you solve problems and you will be free to go anywhere you want. Lots of side quests wait for you too!
