RPGDot Game Rating Machine

CM has rated the following games:

Arcanum - Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura: 9/10 points

Closest thing to allowing true rpg'ing. Excellent plot writing. Unique, well-developed, and consistent atmosphere.

Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn: 5/10 points

It's glitzy. It's glossy. It's got the AD&D license. So why does it all boil down to a glorified dungeon crawl. If the only real play options are in the character design am I really playing a role? Can I sneak or bluff or bribe my way through?

Dungeon Master: 3/10 points

Maybe innovative in its day technologically, but a dungeon crawl is still a dungeon crawl. Yawn.

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 10/10 points

Great setting option and excellent job capturing atmosphere. Allows a higher degree of roleplaying than most "rpgs".

Heroes of Might & Magic: 4/10 points

Like its progeny, tedium sets in too fast. Nothing compelling to continue on.

Heroes of Might & Magic 2 - Succession Wars: 4/10 points

Tedium sets in way too soon. Found nothing compelling me to continue on. Nice map graphics, though.

Neverwinter Nights: 10/10 points
