Warcry has posted the third part of an interview with Mutable Realms' Dave Rickey today.Warcry: When the game is released commercially, obviously there will be no way to stem the tide of fan site released information. Do you have any dynamic structures in the game that keep even the basic quests interesting?
Dave: Much of that is still in development. It's easy to promise the moon and tell the players what they want to hear, but I think the players are tired of "castles in the air" hype. Every feature or element of the game that I talk up in public is already pretty well established and developed at at least a basic level, players in the beta right now can tell you that the town control and advancement systems work pretty much as I have described them publicly. We've made a lot of progress in the last few months, and we've got nearly a year to go, but I'd rather keep surprising people with our accomplishments than make inflated promises that can only disappoint. |
