Another review of Asheron's Call 2: The Fallen Kings, this time at Gamers Depot, and this time with a rating of 4 1/2 out of 5 drips. Here are their final thoughts:
It would seem to us that Microsoft has really been listening to its players as Asheron’s Call 2 features so many intriguing new features and gameplay enhancements. A lot has been done with AC2, and we can clearly tell that it is going to give the competition a run for their money. Asheron’s Call 2 is perhaps the first MMORPG that is appealing to both casual and hardcore players alike and promises to give everyone something they can enjoy.
The classless skill-tree system may not appeal to everyone, but if given a chance even RPG veterans will probably find it makes every character so unique in his or her abilities, that it more than makes up for the shortcomings in character creation.
Being as the game has just launched, we had mixed expectations. Many games in the genre have had launches riddled with bugs, connectivity issues, and compatibility problems – however in our experience with AC2 there were only a few minor graphical bugs and virtually no performance issues (that we noticed) at all. |
