Ultima 4: The Dawn of Virtue - New Dev Diary

As promised earlier this week, Jaakko Peltonen a.k.a. Splendor Dragon has posted a major update on his team's progress on Ultima 4: The Dawn of Virtue. Presented as a Developer's Diary, Jaakko delves into aspects such as GUI, music, combat as well as the content of their much-awaited Trinsic demo:

The Trinsic region that we're preparing for the demo is fairly large, about 17000 by 18000 pixels for the exterior locations alone. Add to that the many interior areas (houses, towers, dungeons)... the result is a lot of content to prepare. Moreover, some of the locations are graphically complex. Just yesterday I was raytracing one location, at the mind-boggling speed of 12 pixels per second.

Jaakko further swears to update their site more often, so we'll be sure to check back regularly and tell you about it right here.
