Internal Affairs: Yawn

It's not that we are lazy, but there isn't much news to report out there. August is turning his ugly face on us, people in my vicinity prefer to go swimming than playing CRPG's (can you imagine?). So here we are, left with nothing but hot summer air and a strong desire to leave the office and lay in the shade somewhere.

Our new server is up now, we are preparing to move the site there. If things go well, we will install the databases in a couple of hours, and then test some things to make sure that the transition is a smooth one. If things work out nicely, we will initiate domain name transfer shortly thereafter. You may experience some news outage during the move, but we pormise to keep it as short as possible. The new server gives us plenty of room to breathe, and the hosted sites will enjoy our absence form the old server as well *g*. So, whenever our site seems out of sync with the rest of the world, we are moving and waiting for things to get back to normal.

Apart from organizing the move, I am currently playing Might & Magic VII (once again), and enjoy running Gothic in 1600x1200 mode (moving as smooth as silk). I tried to reinstall Might & Magic VI (my favorite despite of the dated graphics), but I can't get this baby to run in full screen mode - it always displays in a window. Advice would be very much appreciated. For those techies amongst you: my system is an Athlon 1300 with 512MB RAM, a Hercules Prophet MX with 64MB RAM and Windows 98 SE. I truly can remember having played MM6 in full screen, but I have no clue how to make this happen once again. Hm.
