At AOVault, there is an article about being a member of ARK for one day. AEK stands for Advisors of Rubi-Ka, the online help team, but what do they do? Well, head over to read. Here's how the article starts:
What is ARK? What is it that ARK really does? Most players know that ARK stands for Advisors of Rubi-Ka, but few really know what they do day-to-day. I recently had the opportunity to spend an evening with several members of Anarchy Online's ARK team, providing an inside look into a group that we all rely on.

My directions were simple, create a new character and at an agreed upon time send a private message to Sigismondi, who would be my guide for the evening. So, per my instructions, I sent a message to Sigismondi letting her know that I was ready. A minute or two later I was whisked away to the ARK temple. When I arrived I found myself being greeted by 7 members of the ARK community: Ocelos, who came up with the "ARK for a Day" idea; Wojan, who is one of 5 directors of ARK; Kiazi, a GM from Funcom; Sigismondi, who is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet; Airframe, a Guardian of ARK; and Agruel, another Guardian of ARK. A few minutes later Thyrin, who helps coordinate all of the in game operations on dimension 1, also arrived. After a couple of minutes of introductions, and tweaking of my character, I was fully modified to the status of Greeter and was ready to set off on my adventure.
