Primotechnology has posted its review of SOE's/Lucas Arts' 'Star Wars' MMORPG. Rating: 83%.

Here's a snip:
Let me lay down the generals of the game before I get into it. Star Wars Galaxies (SWG from here on in) is a new game. It’s been out for roughly just over a month; not a like time relatively speaking for an MMOG. It requires $15 a month on top of the ~$50 box fee to play. It also takes place exclusively online with many other people. If you are not a social person you may want to avoid it, because the game requires a lot of contact to advance through the ranks. You start out by choosing from one of the eight races, and you can customize your character to no end, it ranges from the generic gender option all the way to eye color and lipstick if you’re a woman. And don’t worry if you end up regretting decisions, for you can change them later on. Each race has its own specialties: Wookies are extremely strong, but not too bright whereas Humans are the average in all traits. The detail customizations have no effect on anything but appearance. A fat lumbering wookie will be just as strong as a skinny stubby wookie. Then you chose you’re starting skill. There are a few basic ones you can choose to start with, but these evolve into a much broader range. Also, if you were to choose a skill that you ended up not enjoying, you can easily change that later on.
