Sorry for being a little late with news, but the site was unreachabl for me due some DNS propagation hickups (proxy). But here we go with a nice preview of Freedom Force over at PC.IGN. They take a closer look at this upcoming superhero RPG, and here's a snippit:

The entire game is vibrant, colorful, fluid, believable, and absolutely representative of what your mind would hope a game of this type to look and feel like. Characters and environments are all well detailed and perfectly exhibit the intended comic book-esque style. The special effects and the lighting changes they cause are as equally impressive (red laser blasts cast red glows on characters and so forth). Even the sounds and voices are excellent. Explosions, laser effects, voices, and the rest, while still early, never break from the immersion, even though Executive Producer and Creator Ken Levine admitted the "Voices were just people on the team, we haven't even cast the game yet." Very surprising considering a lot of the stuff was topnotch and rather humorous (don't worry, only the bad stuff will be swapped with professional recordings). It's The Tick, Ace and Gary, and Space Ghost all rolled into one. Add to all this the fact that the entire world is destructible and you've got quite the wicked margarita mix.
