Things are still in full swing over at the premium Freelancer modsite, aka Lancer's Reactor - where all the latest Freelancer mods & mod upgrades, mod and server news, etc., all reside. Today's report shall cover three of the latest mods...

(1) First off is a custom ship entitled the "Tardis" mod by Aldebaran...

This was suggested in the TLR Forum, the Timelord Space and Time machine, the Tardis.

Though unarmed, this deceptively small ship can store an awful lot of cargo in the internal extra-dimensional space of the machine. The Tardis can be purchased from Planet Manhattan in the New York System for $80

Guns/Turrets: 9/0
Armor: 13,000
Cargo Holds: 5000
Max Batteries/NanoBots: 60/60
Optimal Weapon Class: N/A
Max. Weapon Class: N/A
Additional Equipment: CM

Special thanks go to Burnout who helped us out with the XML files. You can use this in single player by installing the mod via FLMM. Mod Developers should feel free to include this in their own mods as long as due credit is given and a quick courtesy email is sent to myself to let me know where it is being used. Have fun.

(2) Next in line is also a custom ship entitled the "Razor II" mod by Jason "Deathshadow" Knight...

Razor II Heavy Fighter - Price: 707350 -

Available at: Freeport 9 in Omicron Theta and Planet Baden Baden in Stuttgart.

Developed by a consortium of civilian companies headed by Spa and Cruise to exploit technologies recent technological advances, it uses a combination of ancient artifacts, alien weapons and off the shelf parts to produced a most impressive craft. Featuring unprecedented maneuverability, firepower and cargo capacity for its size, the Razor II can use its five afterburners to reach speeds almost double that of a standard transit drive. The only area in which it falls short is power generation. Since the alien weapon systems drain no power it was decided to use the smallest possible civilian engine and to devote most of its output to the maneuvering systems. This results in slow recharge times for both the shields and the multiple afterburners, limiting their long-term effectiveness.

Guns/Turrets: 8/0
Armor: 8500
Cargo Holds: 120
Max Batteries/NanoBots: 90/90
Optimal Weapon Class: 3
Max. Weapon Class: 10
Additional Equipment: M, CM, CD, T

(3) And in closing, there is pre-release of a very large and interesting mod by Kyrosphere Studios entitled "Freelancer: Rebirth V0.10"...

The year is 14 AS, 14 years after humans arrived in the Sirius Sector and began early expansion into space and planetside... Earth is a distant memory, the Coalition a recollection faded by decades in cryogenic suspension... New technologies have been developed during the long haul from Europa, and are now being implemented into the space around the capitol planets... Technology stolen from the Coalition has also been re-designed and is now being deployed across Sirius... You, Freelancer, must now make your name amongst the stars, and choose your path in a new frontier...

This, is Freelancer: Rebirth... The patiently awaited Freelancer modification taking you back to a time before docking rings, jump gates, and pirates... When mankind lived as a whole, for a short while...
