Czech GamePort has conducted an English interview with Marko Dieckmann from Duplex about his company's upcoming MMORPG Face of Mankind.

Here's a snip:
The game puts its plot onto several planets, what are the main locations and how can player travel between them?

The world of Face of Mankind consists of 5 huge cities on Earth, – New York, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin and Mexico -, a lot of distant colonies beyond our known star system and some special locations like a space station and a huge space cruiser.

The cities are separated into 5-8 sections. There won’t be very much terrain at all - only in city-border areas or parks. The architecture will mainly be large futuristic skyscrapers, indoors and outdoors. A difference to other persistent world games might be our comprehensive indoor environments.

The design and architecture of the colonies will differ a lot from the cities on Earth. Each colony will be one sectioned area, and all colonies will be different from each other. Values of recognition are very important for us.

Traveling is possible with Vortex Gates in Face of Mankind. All these gates are connected to each other and all places are reachable from every gate. The player will have to choose his or her destination and confirm the price for the travel.

Positions of friends or teammates can be found easily. You can check this in your ComLog, an all-round tool in the game for messaging, banking and information exchange.
